Listen to Follow Your Fire with Celebrity Chef Waylynn Lucas on: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts

I am beyond excited to welcome today’s guest, Waylynn Lucas, to the podcast! We’re diving into what life can look like when you follow your fire, instead of taking the ‘normal’ path that looks just like everyone else’s. Waylynn’s story is fascinating; she’s had a variety of unique life experiences, and she hasn’t been afraid to pursue different passions on her journey. If something doesn’t set her soul on fire, then it’s definitely not for her. Waylynn’s energy, spirit, and no-nonsense attitude is one-of-a-kind, and she is truly a light in the world. I have no doubt you WILL be fired up after listening to her!

Waylynn Lucas is the cookbook author of Sunny-Side Up, more than 100 recipes from the essential egg to the perfect pastry. She is the encouraging but honest judge on Food Network’s hit show, Cake Wars, and former executive pastry chef of such notable restaurants as SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, four-starred Bazaar by José Andrés and Joachim Splichal, Michelin-starred Patina, and the Penthouse Restaurant at the Huntley Hotel. She co-founded fonuts bakery in Los Angeles, specializing in baked (not fried) donuts with a modern twist, including gluten-free and vegan options.

She is also a former cast member of the Bravo show Eat, Drink, Love and CNBC’s Restaurant Startup. She gave up city life for Park City, Utah, to start her own modern homestead with chickens, ducks, horses, goats, donkeys, and dogs (cows coming soon!). Her love of country life and the outdoors has brought her back to the basics of food and life, where she now owns and operates a wholesale bakery, Butter & Barley. She strives to deepen her culinary knowledge, expand her homestead to gardens, cheese making and raising her own food. She also wants to be the voice to bridge the gap between farmers, ranchers, and the restaurant-consumer world, and connect the people back to their food on a wholesome and educated journey. Waylynn hosts women’s horsemanship and country culinary retreats with her gal pal and best friend, as well as offering life and success coaching in a business they call Grit Grace Grow.
